Is it ethical for a healthcare provider to date another employee?
Relationships can often cause tension for people at work, especially when the relationship is between the person and another co-worker. I do not know how I really feel about this situation because on the one hand a job should not control someones private life, but on the other hand dating a co-worker can often times cause problems at the workplace. So I wonder if it is ethical or not to date another co-worker? I do not think it is wrong to have feelings for a co-worker because you cannot help who you are attracted to and want to be in a relationship with, but I do not think it is the best thing for the workplace. Therefore, I do not particularly have a conclusion on whether or not this is a problem of ethics, but I do realize the difficulties that dating a co-worker represents. I think that people should just try to make the best decisions, and if they are going to date a co-worker it might be best if they work in a different department so that if there are problems between them they will not be together all day and work will still get done.
